Metroplex Atheists is the longest standing secular organization in North Texas. Beginning as a chapter of American Atheists in the late 1980’s, MA has continued to pursue activism on behalf of separation of church and state over the last few decades.

In 2016 Metroplex Atheists raised opposition to the display of In God We Trust at North Richland Hills City Hall.
In July of 2019, we made international headlines with our “In No God We Trust” banner campaign. Listen to our friend Terry McDonald explain the message behind the banners.
In 2012 we initiated a Prayer Challenge to DFW in which folx were asked to pray for Terry’s salvation.
